Utilitech (Pty) Ltd is the Official RIDGID Importer supplying professional pipe-working, drain-cleaning and inspection equipment across Sub-Saharan Africa — and a manufacturer-authorised service and repair centre for the full RIDGID range.
We are based in Germiston, on the East Rand, and we hold stock locally — not a catalogue we drop-ship from elsewhere. Plumbers, contractors, municipalities, mines and maintenance teams across the region buy from us because they need the right RIDGID part quickly, and because when something goes wrong they want to speak to someone who knows the tool.
What we do
- The full RIDGID range. Threading and pipe fabrication, drain cleaning, pressing, inspection cameras, pipe locating, wrenches and hand tools.
- Spare parts, properly. Genuine RIDGID spares held locally and searchable by part number, so you can find the exact item that fits your machine rather than guessing.
- Import ordering. Anything in the RIDGID catalogue that we do not hold can be brought in for you, typically in 4 to 6 weeks.
- Service and repair, in our own workshop. We are authorised by the manufacturer to service and repair all RIDGID products, in and out of warranty, using genuine RIDGID parts.
Service and repair
This is the part most suppliers cannot offer. Utilitech is manufacturer-authorised to service and repair the entire RIDGID range, and the work is done here rather than sent away. That means warranty claims are assessed and resolved by us instead of being passed to the factory, and it means your machine can be kept running long after the warranty has expired.
Send us the model and serial number with a description of the fault and we will advise on assessment and turnaround.
Why buy from us rather than email a rep
You can still email or phone us — many customers do, and we like it. But if you know the part you need, this store will give you a price including VAT, tell you honestly whether it is on our shelf or 4 to 6 weeks away, and quote your delivery before you commit. No waiting for a quote to come back.
